About the Journal
Bookarion Journal of Social Sciences (BJSS) is an international, double-blind peer-reviewed, and open-access scholarly journal established for the publication of original, high-quality, and ethically sound research in the social sciences. The primary objective is to foster interdisciplinary academic dialogue and contribute to the scientific analysis of contemporary social issues through critical and evidence-based perspectives.
The journal is operated in strict accordance with the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Editorial independence, transparency, impartiality, and academic integrity are upheld as core publishing values. All submitted manuscripts are subjected to a rigorous double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.
Submissions are welcomed from a broad spectrum of social science disciplines, including but not limited to social work, sociology, psychology, social policy, public administration, political science, economics, educational sciences, and communication studies. The publication scope includes original research articles employing quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, or rigorous secondary data analyses, as well as review articles, theoretical papers, and policy analyses.
As a Platinum Open Access journal, a model is embraced where all published content is freely and permanently accessible without financial, legal, or technical barriers. No Article Processing Charges (APC) or submission fees are required. To ensure long-term preservation, the journal content is digitally archived via the PKP Preservation Network (PN), LOCKSS/CLOCKSS, and the National Library of Türkiye.
