Aims and Scope
Bookarion Journal of Social Sciences (BJSS) is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the production and dissemination of high-quality, ethically sound research in the social sciences. The journal is operated in strict accordance with the principles set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ensuring a transparent, fair, and unbiased editorial process. The primary mission is to foster interdisciplinary academic dialogue and contribute to the scientific understanding of contemporary social issues through theoretical, empirical, and applied research. In this context, priority is given to studies addressing social change, inequality, welfare, human rights, social justice, and policy development at local, national, and global levels.
The scope of the journal encompasses a broad spectrum of social science disciplines, including but not limited to social work, sociology, psychology, and social policy, as well as economics, finance, public administration, political science, educational sciences, communication, and cultural studies. Methodological diversity is supported, and original research employing quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, or rigorous secondary data analyses is welcomed. In addition to original articles, review articles, theoretical papers, and policy analyses that provide significant scholarly contributions are considered for publication. As a Platinum Open Access journal, all content is made freely available under the CC BY 4.0 license, and no APC or submission fees are charged to support the global and equitable exchange of knowledge.
