Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to the Bookarion Journal of Economics and Finance (BJEF). All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for double-blind peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents, and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality or exceeds the 20% similarity rate. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured properly, following APA 7th Edition standards and the required layout (Calibri, 11 pt, 1.5 spacing). The title should be concise, and the abstract (150-200 words) should be accompanied by a maximum of 5 keywords.

BJEF does not charge any APC or submission fees.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration. 

  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format and has been anonymized (author names and affiliations removed) for double-blind peer review.

  • All references follow APA 7th Edition and have been checked for accuracy.

  • All tables and figures are numbered, labeled, and placed appropriately within the text. 

  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets, and other materials provided. 

  • Authors agree to publish the work under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
